Wyllie had the opportunity to greet thousands of Floridians one-on-one, all of who welcomed his message of civil liberties and personal freedom, and the need to break the back of the political duopoly that has dominated governments at the federal, state, and local level for over a century.

Wyllie speaks with Examiner about his campaign trip to Gainesville

Adrian Wyllie took time to speak with the Tampa Bay Libertarian Examiner Monday evening about his campaign trip up to Gainesville, and all of the people he met there:

In speaking with so many voters, I’ve noticed a very encouraging trend developing.

By far, the most common first question I get is, “Are you a Republican or a Democrat?” The person asking the question usually has a furrowed brow and a sharp tone to their voice. Their distrust and skepticism of both parties is clearly evident.

I answer, “Neither. I’m a Libertarian.”

Upon hearing that, their whole demeanor changes right away. They become excited and energized. Many say things like, “That’s all I needed to know. You’ve got my vote!”

Floridians recognize the need to restore limited government in Tallahassee and D.C.

Wyllie continued speaking about Floridians recognize the need to restore limited government in both Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.:

After speaking with many thousands of voters across the state, several things are becoming abundantly clear. First, people are fed up with the two party duopoly, and will no longer support it. Second, the overwhelming majority of people now know at least a little bit about the Libertarian Party, and they like what they hear. Third, most people are ready to cast their vote for us.

Though the political establishment and mainstream media have fought tooth-and-nail to suppress our message, they have failed. The people have begun to hear our voice. They are ready for Libertarian platform of economic freedom and individual liberty.

We already have the right message. Now, we must ramp up our efforts to reach as many people as possible. It is a simple mathematical equation: If we can reach enough voters in Florida, WE WILL WIN.
