Latest ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ rumors point to twins Jaina and Jacen Solo training under Luke Skywalker

Casting details first broke by SchnoesKnow are now pointing to some details of Star Wars Episode VII.

April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg in the U.S. and Nina Gold in the UK — have sent casting breakdowns to agents. It provides the first real clues about what’s happening in the next movie in the franchise, which Michael Arndt is writing and JJ Abrams is directing.

Here’s the breakdown:

A young man aged between 20 and 25, witty and smart, fit but not classically handsome,

Man in late twenties, also fit, but this one is handsome and confident.

Late teenage girl, independent, good sense of humour, also… physically fit .

Second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and physically fit.

Man in his forties, obviously physically fit, this one is a military type.

A man of around thirty or so, this one is an intellectual type.

Finally, a guy aged around seventy, strong opinions and tough.

The same site detailed the story rumors, so align the two:

Storyline: Two 17 year old twins, a girl and a boy, are trained by their uncle Luke to be the greatest Jedis in the galaxy. Problems arise when the male twin turns to the dark side.

Jaina Solo – Female, 17 years old, lead. – Jacen’s twin sister, one of the greatest Jedis in the galaxy, trained by her uncle Luke Skywalker

Jacen Solo – Male, 17 years old, lead – Jaina’s twin brother, one of the greatest Jedis in the world. A loner who is constantly struggling with the idea of what’s right and what’s wrong. Starts to turn to the dark side. Full of conviction that what he is doing is the “right thing”. Will eventually become Darth Caedus.

The other female role may be Jacen’s love interest, Tenel Ka Djo, who he meets at Luke’s Jedi Academy.

More spoiler fun from Star Wars Wikia:

Leia’s son Jacen turned to the dark side of the Force, becoming the Sith Lord Darth Caedus. Leia and Han became determined to destroy Caedus, feeling that their son was already dead. However, it was their daughter Jaina who ended his life in a lightsaber duel that also concluded the war.

In the aftermath of Caedus’ death, the Solos became the guardians of their granddaughter Allana, at the behest of her mother, Tenel Ka of Hapes, and remained two of the galaxy’s most important figures, standing with the Jedi Order amidst the tensions that arose between it and the government of Chief of State Natasi Daala.

The parallels and cycles of history repeating itself would make perfect sense with Jacen as the central character.
