Latest Dark Knight Rises News: Scarecrow talks, Joey King and more on Bane

Even the muffled words “The Dark Knight Rises” can turn a whisper into a frenzy across the Internet as each interview, appearance or comment made by a cast or crewmember unleashes unbridled fervor with Batfans. Murmurs of details were scattered over the weekend and yesterday Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow) offered more praise for the director Christopher Nolan.

“I’m looking forward to it,” the actor told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival, while promoting his paranormal thriller “Red Lights”.

“Any film that Chris Nolan makes … he’s got a good track record. He makes amazing movies.” “It’s been a huge honor to work with him,” Murphy added. “He’s just phenomenal.”

According to headlines, it’s a “MAJOR” spoiler that thirteen-year-old Joey King revealed details about her role in “Rises” in an interview with My Entertainment World.

“I play young Talia al Ghul…I can’t give too much away because I promised Mr. Nolan I wouldn’t say anything. There are too many secrets about the character and the movie.”

Also this weekend was the release of details from the “Dark Knight Rises” toys which released this plot synopsis:

The Legend Ends. The terrorist leader Bane will arrive in Gotham City, pushing it and the police force to their limits, forcing Batman to resurface after taking the fall for The Joker’s crimes. The Dark Knight Rises movie will be coming this Summer and this Bane Collectible Figure will be launched in coming months before movie launches! Batman fans, please stay tuned!

After the “Dark Knight Rises” prologue instigated some backlash over Bane’s voice, members of the press caught up with Jonathan Nolan at a Television Critics Association party:

Now that people have gotten to see the first six minutes of The Dark Knight Rises, how did you come up with that amazing airplane sequence?

It’s an amazing team with my brother, David Goyer and myself. Those are two great guys to work with and brainstorm with. I think Chris had long wanted to do the aerial spectacular. It’s such a good fit for the IMAX cameras that he likes to shoot with, and so that was a long time in the making.

As a writer, is it bittersweet that you write some fabulous dialogue and it might be muffled, in some fashion?

I’ve gotta tell you, I think what Tom Hardy is doing with the role is spectacular. I’ve had the benefit of seeing a little bit more than the audience has seen, at this point, and it’s pretty spectacular.
