Kresh Novakovic interview: ‘Leaves of the Tree,’ the Bronx, Robert De Niro, giving back
Leaves of the Tree is a new Indie film, recently screened at the Gasparilla Film Festival in Florida and actor Kresh Novakovic discussed which he co-produced with his brother Ante, who directed the movie.
“People can really enjoy the fact that are taken on a ride of faith themes…people get challenged and that’s exciting,” Kresh says of the film.
Leaves of the Tree stars Eric Roberts, Sean Young, Armand Assante and follows a lawyer inflicted with a horrible disease and journeys to Sicily to explore the powers of a mysterious tree and asks how would society react to this presumed “miracle.”
Kresh praises the cast and discusses the amazing production, shot on location in Sicily, especially Assante and how he grew from the experience.

Kresh recounted his acting experience, what inspired him to pursue this career and how Martin Scorsese film’s influenced him.
The interview takes a lighter tone by discussing Kresh’s early days, growing up in the Bronx, “turning off the Bronx” for a role and what it was like to work with Robert De Niro.
