Korean actress, Kim Soo Hyun auditions for ‘Avengers 2: Age of Ultron’
A small portion of the Marvel sequel, “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” will be filmed in Seoul’s Gangnam area and Gyeonggi Province and it is reported the South Korea’s own Kim Soo-hyun has reportedly auditioned for a role in the future blockbuster as a villain, according to a Korea Times report today.
However, several pop culture websites report that the 29-year-old actress has already been given the part.
The site, K Drama Stars reports that a staff member who was involved in casting Kim Soo Hyun said in an interview, “Kim Soo Hyun did make it into Avengers: Age of Ultron, but we cannot confirm anything until there is the official announcement.”
Another Korean pop culture site, K Pop Starz also says Soo Hyun got the part.
The movie was looking for a Korean actress and after over 40 auditions, they chose Kim Soo Hyun for the role.
Kim Soo Hyun has had some action experience and is fluent in English which gave her bonus points when choosing an actress for the role.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is to premiere in May of 2015.
