on to yet another highly anticipated project. According to Deadline, Boutella just scored “a lead role” in Star Trek 3. The outlet doesn’t have any details on her character, including whether she’s good or evil, but the author does reiterate that it’s a “lead role,” so she should have a significant presence in the film.
Boutella also had roles in a movie called Street Dance 2 and theMonsters sequel, Monsters: Dark Continent, and joins a franchise running on all cylinders after the success of Star Trek Into Darkness.
Back when Roberto Orci was the main creator, he said this will be the beginning of their “five-year mission.”
Star Trek 3 is pegged for a 2016 release, coinciding with the franchise’s 50th anniversary.
