‘Kick-Ass 2’ star Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore featured in new ‘Carrie’ photos
Chloë Moretz stars as ridiculed and alienated high school student Carrie, a role made famous by Sissy Spacek in Brian de Palma’s 1976 original film. The new Carrie film will feature Julianne Moore as her unstable mother and both are in the new photos released Monday.
Based on the Stephen King classic, Carrie is pushed over the edge by a humiliating prank on the night of her prom which prompts her to use her telekinetic abilities which she discovers during the film.
The Kick-Ass star says the film will mess with your head and promises to be more aligned with King’s novel.
Joining Moretz and Moore, the film also stars Judy Greer, Kyle Mac, Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde, Portia Doubleday and Alex Russell.
Carrie arrives in theaters this fall, October 18, 2013.

Official Synopsis:
The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.
