Kelly King arrested for murder of Oklahoma man Terry Stuart after high speed chase

An Oklahoma man was arrested while driving a murder victim’s truch as investigators say the man will likely be charged in the homicide case.

Kelly King, a roommate of Terry Stuart, was arrested after a brief high speed chase. Muldrow police claim they found Stuart, 62, under a sheet in the backyard Monday afternoon. The man’s body was discovered by the neighbor, who then called 911.

King, 55, drove by the home, but sped away when he discovered the police were at the home investigating Stuart’s death. King surrendered without incident and was reportedly intoxicated when the arrest was made.

Police confirmed an autopsy was scheduled, but offered no details on the cause of death or condition of the man’s body.

The Arklahoma blog wrote about the chase:

At approximately 4:35pm dispatch received a call from the Muldrow Police Dept. of a high speed pursuit involving a white 1997 4-door Mazda vehicle. The car had one male occupant that was believed to be involved in a possible homicide in the Muldrow area. The car was traveling West on Hwy 64 from Muldrow to Sallisaw. The Sallisaw Police placed spike strips along Hwy 64 located near Mr. Jiff’s Convenience Store. It is believed that the car hit the strips and went airborne coming to rest in an area just North of Mr. Jiff’s Convenience Store. This is the grassy area located near the I-40 off-ramp. The male suspect is now in custody. While we know the name of the individual involved in this pursuit, we will not release it until given approval by authorities.
