Kamryn Stone shot and killed outside the Rose Bowl after the UCLA and Oklahoma football game

Pasadena Police identified Kamryn Stone as the 18-year-old man shot and killed outside the Rose Bowl after the end of the game between UCLA and the University of Oklahoma.

Stone, of Los Angeles, died at the hospital after the incident 11:20 p.m. Saturday to the area of Arroyo Boulevard and Seco Street.

Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carrillo detailed the case, confirming a second man, 51, was injured from the shooting, which occurred after a physical altercation resulted in shots beging fired.

“The motive for the altercation that led to the shooting remains under investigation,” he said. At this point, he added, “it appears this incident may not be random in nature.”

Earlier Saturday, UCLA played the University of Oklahoma at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins were defeated 48-14. The game ended at 8:08 p.m.

“The Rose Bowl Stadium and parking lots were cleared of patrons and vehicles from the UCLA game several hours earlier,” added City of Pasadena PIO Lisa Derderian. “Pasadena police are actively investigating the incident and preliminary reports indicated it was an isolated incident.”
