Judy Greer says Chloe Moretz in ‘Carrie’ remake is ‘incredibly moving’
Some fans are concerned about the “Carrie” remake by director Kimberly Pierce.
Judy Greer, star of “Californication,” appears to be easing those rumors as the Brian DePalma classic will be refashioned with “Kick Ass” star Chloe Moretz in the lead role.
“Chloë’s performance – and this is literal – has brought me to tears on set,” Greer says. “She’s made me cry because I find her performance to be incredibly moving. I’m feeling a lot of compassion for her.”
Greer plays Mrs Desjardin in the film, presumably a character similar to Miss Collins in the 1976 film.
She spoke to E! about the Carrie reboot, which is shooting at the moment in Toronto, and praised her director, who she says is making a film that’s “kind of beautiful. It’s really totally jarring and creepy but also in a strange way gorgeous.”
The “Carrie” remake arrives in theaters April 12, 2013.
