John Ryan, missing Maryland man, found dead in the trunk of his car
Maryland State Police investigators are searching for leads after the mysterious Monday discovery of a missing Frederick County man in the trunk of his car.
UPDATE: A couple of clarifications, highlighted by a reader, the complete name of Mr. Ryan was not published and the age was incorrect. Ryan was indeed found in the trunk of his car and pronounced dead at the scene.
John P. Ryan, age 37, was reported missing on November 29 by his wife. Ryan was found in the trunk of his black Lexus sedan in a parking lot.
Officials confirmed there was trauma to his body, but offered no other details. Cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
Reports indicate that cash and marijuana was also found in the trunk alongside Ryan’s body.
Ryan owned a power-washing business and was the father of two young girls.
“It was a shock. It was a big shock; he was a good man,” said neighbor Julie Miller told Baltimore CBS affiliate. “He was known by so many and liked by so many,”

The victim is identified as John P. Ryan, 37, of Frederick, Md. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
