John Bolton says Syria won’t respond to Israeli airstrikes, Benghazi could be Obama administration downfall

Concerning a possible retaliatory response from Syria for the recent Israeli airstrikes, Bolton said, “In terms of an actual Syrian response, I don’t see it.’

‘Bolton went on to say,  “The possibility of actual an Syrian government retaliation against Israel is pretty remote. … I don’t think Assad is crazy enough to risk a real Israeli strike against his positions.

“He’s obviously been shown to be powerless to stop the Israeli Air Force, and it’s significant that they penetrated Syrian government air defenses as easily as they seem to have.”

Bolton, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute also believes the Benghazi scandal could be the final “hinge point” that brings down the Obama administration.

“It’s that serious for them”, noted Bolton.

Bolton thinks the testimonies of the witnesses to appear Wednesday, including Greg Hicks, could be critical.

“These are not people who are going to report on hearsay of what somebody in Tripoli told somebody that they heard from. These are people who are directly involved in different capacities before, during and after the attack.”
