Jesse Ventura says he’d pardon Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning

During the latest episode of Off the Grid, former Governor Jesse Ventura discusses one of his first actions if he were to run for President in 2016 and win.

Jesse Ventura Off the Grid photo“Within the first week I would pardon Edward Snowden and I would pardon Bradley Manning. Both of them” Ventura says.

“My belief is this: a whistleblower is indeed a hero,” he says as the Bill of Rights graphic rolls on the screen of his Ora.TV show.

Ventura connects the actions of Snowden to direct violation of the US Constitution and did so under the fear that the President can “kill ya’ without a trial, without anything. He can order you dead.”

Snowden outed details of the NSA surveillance which includes the collection of every electronic communication: email, text messages, metadata from all of the communication carriers and much, much more.

Snowden has been called a traitor, Republican Peter King says Snowden is “extremely dangerous” and former ambassador John Bolton says he should stand trial and then be killed.
