Jesse Jackson: assault weapons are ‘threat to national security’ can ‘shoot airplanes’ and gun manufacturers should be blamed

While appearing on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Monday, Jesse Jackson said that gun manufacturers should be held accountable for shootings involving their products.

Jesse Jackson gun ban“These semi-automatic weapons, these assault weapons, can only kill people and in fact are threats to national security,” he said. “The young man who did the killing in Aurora, Colorado with the arsenal he had. He was right near the airport, right near the runways near the airport in Denver. He could shoot down airplanes. So this is a matter of homeland security,” he added.

“We need to make manufacturers more accountable for their product,” Jackson told Martha MacCallum.

Jackson was pressed on the high murder rate in Chicago, a city with some of the toughest gun laws in the country.

“We know where the guns shops are in the suburbs. If you were in Iraq today, and we had soldiers there, and you knew where guns were being manufactured and the trail and where they were being sold, we would stop that trail because they’re killing our soldiers. We know where guns are manufactured, we know where they’re sold, we know where legal guns become straw purchase guns,” he said.

Jackson told MacCallum that he doesn’t understand why people would want to purchase an “assault” weapon.

“What function do assault weapons hold other than to kill people? Hunters shoot rabbit and deer, not with these weapons, so what is their function?” he asked.

Great idea, while we are at it, why dont we hold all of the automotive manufacturers liable for when one of the cars they make is involved in a fatal drunk driving collision , along with all of the brewers and distilleries just for good measure too.

When will the commie fucktards like this ever learn to just keep their thoughts to themselves and leave us REAL americans alone and free?
