Jeff Goldblum addresses rumored roles in ‘Independence Day 2’ and ‘Jurassic World’
Two big budget sequels are entering production so star Jeff Goldblum has to address which one, both or neither will he be a part of. Talking with the Huffington Post confirms his involvement in Independence Day 2 before addressing Jurassic World rumors.
“They’ve talked to me about it,” says Goldblum, regarding ID2, “and I’ve talked to them about it and they’re excited and I’m anxious and eager to see – I haven’t read anything. I think they’re trying to put it together.”
Goldblum was promoting Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel he also addressed his absence in the third Jurassic Park film and whether he’s in Jurassic World.
“…they haven’t called me for “4,” I know Steven Spielberg isn’t directing it …” he says of JW before adding “Nobody asked me” to explain the absense from Jurassic Park III.
“…nobody asked me, but I was perfectly satisfied with the two that I did. I’m still satisfied with that and I’ll be the first in line to see anything else, so, you know. But, Independence Day …”
The interviewer detailed the latest on ID2, casting rumors etc…before Goldblum continued.
“Oh, good, so he’s talked about it. Yeah, they’ve talked to me about it and I’ve talked to them about it and they’re excited and I’m anxious and eager to see — I haven’t read anything — what they cook up. You know, I think they’re trying to put it together.”
