James Holmes is as ‘insane as he looks,’ says his lawyer
James Holmes is as crazy as he looks, says his attorney.
According to TMZ on Thursday, the lawyers stated unequivocally, in court, that James Holmes has a mental illness and they need more time to discover what’s wrong with James Holmes. Cameras are not allowed in the courtroom as the “Batman shooter” trial begins. The lawyers for James Holmes are asking for more time to access the depth of their client’s mental state, but the public can’t watch and assess the proceedings for themselves.

The lawyers stated, “We cannot begin to assess the nature and the depth of Mr. Holmes’ mental illness until we receive full disclosure of all the documents.”
At the same hearing, a lawyer representing 20 media outlets urged the judge to relax his gag order concerning the case, and to allow the public to know more about the proceedings against Holmes. “The public is completely in the dark,” the lawyer said. Both the defense and the prosecution argued in favor of keeping court documents sealed. Kiss and Motley Crue played a concert in suburban Denver last night, and announced they were making a $100,000 donation to a fund helping people affected by the massacre, reports AP.
With all of the preplanning and warning signs that were missed, people wonder why there is less shock that this tragedy was not prevented.
