Jaimie Alexander as Sif in “Thor”
“I finished shooting, I just finished shooting…It’s going really well. It’s crazy…a bit of a darker feel, obviously a lot more action.”
Fans may be curious how the film shifts following “The Avengers.”
“We get to explore the different realms I guess…a lot more…a lot more Asgard, Asgardians.”
Alexander confirmed that there’s more character development for Sif.
“Yes, there is that…We sort of explore the Sif – Thor relationship. (In a romantic way, the interviewer asks) Yeah, kinda. It’s more of getting a feel of who these people are, the way they are with each other. It was fun for me fun for Chris (Hemsworth) They are almost like brother-sister types too, so maybe that translates into…they love each other on camera too, you know.”
Director Kenneth Branagh is not returning for the sequel, which will be directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) and Alexander discussed that transition as well.
“That was hard at first. I didn’t what to expect. I love Kenneth Branagh very much. He was a huge staple in my life because he launched my career….and I gotta say though it was always great to work with different people and Alan Taylor has brought a whole new vision to Thor.”
She repeats the “darker feel” comment and discusses the comic book tone for “Dark World,” so check out the entire interview here.
The cast returns for the sequel which will feature Christopher Eccleston as the Dark Elf, Malekith.
