Jada Keller identified as woman killed in Louisiana murder suicide, killed by Ronald Johnson
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana has confirmed that Jada Keller is the woman dead in a Schriever trailer murder suicide yesterday.
Keller, 32, was found at the 100 block of Elmira Court near Thibodaux unresponsive, suffering from severe trauma to her head, face and other parts of her body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were called about 8:40 a.m. and later discovered that Ronald Johnson, 36, who lived with Keller in the trailer, had confessed to family members that he had killed her.
As officials were processing the scene, Johnson drove up in an older-model navy Lincoln Continental and parked in the middle of the trailer park.
As officers approached the car, Johnson pulled out a handgun and shot himself in the head in front of family members and other witnesses.
The car began rolling as a detective opened the driver’s-side door and shifted it into park.
A deputy then removed the gun from Johnson’s hand and secured the weapon.
Paramedics arrived but could not revive Johnson, authorities said.
He was also pronounced dead on the scene.
Au autopsy confirmed that Keller died by strangulation.
Johnson and Keller leave behind four children.
Police consider the investigation ongoing.
