‘Interstellar’ teaser trailer features Matthew McConaughey reminding Americans of space exploration
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser trailer for director Christopher Nolan’s next film Interstellar.
Matthew McConaughey leads an ensemble cast as a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole “to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”
There are no real plot points revealed here, just McConaughey’s voice over partnered with clips from America’s long history in space exploration. No other characters were revealed.
The story is from a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan.
This will be Christopher Nolan’s first film as director since closing out his Batman trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises.
The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, David Oyelowo, Wes Bentley, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, David Gyasi, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Timothée Chalamet, and Matt Damon.
