Indiana: Elementary school teacher Krystal Sergi killed by husband, Frank Sergi, also a teacher, who then killed self
The bodies of two Indiana teachers were found in an Indiana home earlier this week and have now been identified as Frank Sergi and his wife, Krystal Sergi.
Frank Sergi, 52, taught at Fall Creek Intermediate School and Krystal, 44, worked as a first-grade teacher at Hoosier Road Elementary School. Police found them Wednesday evening in their home, in the 13000 block of Dorster Street after neighbors reported gunshots.
The couple had a ten-year-old son, but Fishers Police spokesperson Sgt. Tom Weger said Thursday the boy was not in the home when police arrived Wednesday night.
Court records show the couple filed for divorce in August. A Hamilton County judge declined to finalize the divorce on Oct. 8 because the couple had not yet completed paperwork and other requirements related to child support, records show.

“It was a challenging day for many of our students and staff as we continued to process the loss of two longtime educators,” a statement from the school district read. “We are grateful for the work of [the] Fishers Police Department, and we support their efforts in this ongoing investigation. Our hearts are with the affected families.”
Both schools canceled classes Thursday and Friday.
Police offered no other details.
