India: Woman gives birth to baby with two heads
In an astounding story from northern India last week, a woman delivered conjoined twins at a hospital in Sonipat, Haryana. However, the baby, born via C-section and weighing in a 3 kilograms, has two heads, two necks and two spines but only one body, according to a Press TV video report.

The mother of the twins, 28-year-old Urmila Sharma says that her and her husband Subhash were too poor to afford an ultrasound and had no idea she was carrying twins.
“We only came to know she was carrying conjoined twins after an ultrasound two weeks ago but it was too late to do anything by then,” Dr Shikha Malik, who delivered the baby, said.
The baby girl hasn’t been named yet, and is under close observation in the neo-natal intensive care unit where doctors are doing all they can; however, they fear her chances of survival are slim.
The Daily Mail reports that conjoined twins who share a single body have dicephalic parapagus – an extremely unusual form of conjoinment.
Because they share the same body, it is not possible to separate dicephalic parapagus twins.
