‘Incredibles 2’ poster teases the new villain, heroes coming out of retirement

Pixar has released a brand new poster for Incredibles 2, teasing the return of the team and giving fans their first look at the sequel’s mysterious villain and a glimpse at the other heroes who inhabit this world. Check it out below.

Helen, aka Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), moves into the spotlight, while Bob, aka Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson), navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home when a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot that only the Incredibles can overcome together. A synopsis is at the bottom.

Character details have been revealed, but nothing is really  known about the big bad. With any luck, that will change with the release of the movie’s second trailer.

The cast of voice actors includes Sarah Vowell, Huck Milner, Samuel L. Jackson, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush, and Isabella Rossellini.

The Incredibles 2 arrives in theaters June 15, 2018.

Synopsis:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible. Directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer), “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.
