‘Incredibles 2’ Movies Anywhere review: Samuel L Jackson’s passion for comic books, Racoon Fight scene breakdown

Disney and Pixar have made Incredibles 2 available digitally ahead of the physical release: Digital in HD and 4K Ultra HD and on Movies Anywhere on October 23rd, and on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on November 6th.

Includes in this Movies Anywhere exclusive are:

  • The Coolest Guy in Show Business – In this partially illustrated documentary, Samuel L. Jackson reflects how his childhood and love of comics shaped his passion for film and imaginative storytelling.
  • 2 SuperScene Breakdowns – Casual commentary-style pieces looking at specific scenes in the film (The Racoon Fight and Mrs. Incredible) through a particular creative focus like action choreography, set design or story.

The Coolest Guy in Show Business: Sam Jack talks about his love of comic books and the creative time where these stories can come alive. It’s so engaging to hear the actor who plays Nick Fury in the Marvel franchise explaining the fans’ passion for this medium. He returns in Marvel’s Captain Marvel early next year, in March, just after returning as Mr. Glass for the superhero stylish M. Night Shyamalan role break Unbreakable. Glass opens in January.

“Comic book predicted the future for me,” Jackson recalled from his childhood to the larger world in a time of segregation. He credits his grandfather for an emphasis on storytelling and role playing superheroes with “our own sound effects.”

The title is an obvious pun on Jackson’s character Frozone, a master at manipulating ice.

“Nobody tells you that you can be a superhero,” he says.

SuperScene Breakdown – Elastigirl and SuperScene Breakdown – Racoon Fight

These great sequences were highlights in the new film and fans can get a details look and explanation on their inception, evolving process and the intent.

Fans will be surprised to hear how the “movie on TV” played into the animation as Jack Jack battles “Nature’s Bandit”

Great stuff check it out.
