Illinois’ Northwestern raises the Black Lives Matter flag, ignores the real threats against blacks
Northwestern University in Illinois made headlines as the school raised a Black Lives Matter flag over the Norris University Center to kick off weeks of student-organized and administration-backed programming on the state of black lives and the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.
Danielle Harris, a Communication senior and student organizer of the programming, said the University of Vermont’s student government’s decision to fly a Black Lives Matter flag near the student center in September inspired her to do something similar at NU.
“After seeing that … the immediate question is, ‘If the University of Vermont can do that, then how come Northwestern can’t do that?’” Harris said.
According to the initiative’s Facebook event, the plan is to organize events that cultivate dialogue around “the statement ‘Black Lives Matter,’ the greater Black Lives Matter movement, and the state of Black lives within our country.”
These efforts resulted in “Black Lives Matter: a Northwestern dialogue,” two weeks of on-campus programming that began with raising a Black Lives Matter flag.
The flag is not only meant to educate students but also to support black students on campus and nationwide, Harris said. If she could choose, Harris said she would keep the flag up past the designated two weeks.
Black Lives Matter has returned headlines as part of the coverage of the white disabled teen tortured by four black teens, ranting against Donald Trump and attacking whites. The story was trending under the hashtag: BLM kidnapping.
Birthed out the lies surrounding the Trayvon Martin case, BLM is about the “Black Liberation Movement” and Marxism NOT social justice or fairness connected to a single crime. The talk about “Black people locked in cages” while ignoring the black on black crime rates in Chicago and other big cities.
Their concern is “How Black women bearing the burden of a relentless assault on our children and our families is state violence” yet they are silent on the Planned Parenthood clinics taking up residence in black communities, targeting the black community as Margaret Sanger dreamed — ask Nick Cannon, he said it the other day.
Sadly, the BLM flag and the snowflake community of Northwestern proves how Marxist the University has become, giving preferential treatment to the blacks while treating Israel (and Jews) as enemies, ignoring the crisis of ILLEGAL immigrants and how that hurts legal immigration — all under the guise of social justice.
