Illegal immigrant couple pretend to be father and daughter to get into the US
Border agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Centralized Processing Center in Texas discovered an adult man and woman pretending to be a father and daughter and utilizing a fake birth certificate.
The Honduran man stated that the young woman was his 17-year-old daughter, but was using a fake birth certificate and was, in fact, 18 and not the man’s daughter, just a friend.
The press statement explained: “Subsequently, she provided her real name and date of birth. She is 18 years old and claims to be a friend of the male subject…Both subjects will be processed accordingly.
“The Rio Grande Valley Sector currently has multiple campaigns focused on rescues and danger awareness, such as “Operation Big Rig” and “No Se Arriesgue” to combat smuggling and ultimately save lives. Call 911 to report suspicious activity; “They’re humans, not cargo!”

Back in July, the Rio Grande Valley Sector Foreign Operations Branch gave Ana García Carías, and the First Lady’s delegation an exclusive tour of the Centralized Processing Center; they were shown processing procedures and toured the holding facility.
Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr. said, “The journey from Central America is very dangerous and is controlled by the criminal element. We urge Hondurans and Central Americans to not risk their own life, or their child’s lives, attempting to make entry into the United States.”
The Rio Grande Valley Centralized Processing Center occupies roughly 77,000 square feet; it is the first stop for immigrants detained by agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector.
