Hunter Burke interview: ‘Addicted’ ‘The Best of Me’ ‘Longest Ride’ and role in ‘Insurgent’
Actor Hunter Burke has a ton of upcoming projects heading our way and he took out time to talk with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio, beginning with his film Addicted which opens Oct. 10.
Addicted stars Sharon Leal and Hunter is her assistant in this “steamy, sexy” thriller from Lionsgate. The deals with sex addiction and promises to be racy.
Next up will be The Best of Me, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. Hunter stars alongside James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan in a story which will truly engage audiences. Hunter credits the source material and how it’s “so approachable for everyone.”
Hunter is also part of the amazing cast in Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent, and he previews his role and the “justified” mission of his character. He gives an overview of the story as he is part of an amazing cast: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Naomi Watts, Maggie Q, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Ansel Elgort, Zoe Kravitz, Ray Stevenson, Octavia Spencer and Mekhi Phifer.
The Longest Ride, also based on a Nicholas Sparks, is also coming next year. Hunter joins Scott Eastwood, Alan Alda, Brit Robertson and discusses his time on set, especially with Oona Chaplin and Jack Huston.
He closes out the great interview by reflecting on so many great experiences (Olympus Has Fallen, Million Dollar Arm, TV’s Occult) before sharing a great story about Michael Caine.
The Best of Me opens in theaters October 17.
Insurgent arrives on March 20, 2015.
The Longest Ride is set for release on April 10, 2015.
