‘Hulk 3’ in development, Kevin Feige excited about Mark Ruffalo, denies ‘Planet Hulk’ story
Giving EW a rundown on the status of potential future Marvel adaptations for Phase 3, Marvel Studios Exec Kevin Feige gave an update on another Hulk film.
“What we’re excited about exploring and expanding is Mark [Ruffalo] – and Banner’s not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of the Hulk is his interaction with humans.
“Mark could stand in his own movie… We’re talking about it. We’re excited to sit down and go, ‘What is a stand-alone Hulk movie?’”
Feige was referring to some early rumors that Planet Hulk and World War Hulk stories were possibly key to a third Hulk film.
Iron Man 3 proved to be a monster success at the box office and it’s not surprising to hear Feige discuss how the current slate of films is the priority.
“I’d say 99 percent of our time right now is purely spent on Phase Two,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told EW. “It’s five colossally giant motion pictures that we have to produce. So that’s taking up the time. But within the next year or so we’ll start the advanced planning for post-Avengers 2.”
