How to Travel Dubai in Style

It was really a new adventure when I travelled to Dubai as I have heard a lot about UAE. Before going there I didn’t have an idea what should I pack for wearing there. Dubai is known for it hot climate and dusty surroundings so it was a challenge for me to pack my suitcase for this amazing tourist place. I searched for knowing that what will be most suited dresses that don’t hurt the religious values of Dubai. Everywhere I found the advice to cover myself properly and finally I packed my luggage.

After landed there I got to know why they are concerned for dress codes. If you are going to make a plan to travel Dubai definitely my experience will assist you. Below you will come to know how to travel Dubai in style.

What to wear at Souks and Malls in UAE?

The souks and malls of Dubai have the official policy of dressing and if you want to escape from any complexity then you have to follow it. However foreigners often found to disregard their rules. They don’t say to wear traditional clothes but not to expose. Being a woman you can wear a shirt of full sleeves and a Knee length skirt or pant. Like this you can be stylish and also agree the rules of Dubai. If you don’t want the extra attention of people then you must wear according there. During my trip I always wore jeans and shirts and I felt comfortable in that outfits.

What to wear at bars and cruses?

You will definitely surprise when you will hear that there is the same dressing like other countries night clubs and bars. You can wear short dresses, high heels, cleavage etc. The most wonderful attraction is cruise dinner in Dubai Marina and I had an unbelievable dinner on it. When we went on dhow cruise I wore a black short dress and felt really amazing. One more thing you can’t get Alcohol there.

What to wear at beaches?

Another complexity while relaxing in a swimming pool of hotel or on a beach is what you should wear which don’t disrespect the culture of UAE. Pretty ladies if you are in Dubai premises and you want to take bath in pool then maxi dresses are the best for you. Bikini are not allowed there and believe me it was really good to swim in a cool maxi dress.

Dresses for Mosques

Sheikh Zayed Mousque is the famous tourist attraction of Abu Dhabi and if you are planning to go there then here you will follow the strict dress rule. You can’t wear jeans or any modest outfit at the mosque and they clearly mentioned it with a picture. You can wear a long skirt but dupatta is must have attire of your dressing. If you don’t have proper dress according their rules then they will provide Abayas for wearing. You have to cover your head with scarf and put off your shoes before entering in the mosque. Actually I knew about it so I carry a pair of Salwar suit and dupatta.

What to wear at desert safari?

Desert safari one of the most visited tourist attraction of Dubai and also my favorite one. You can wear shorts and tank tops but in my opinion you should not wear them. People from all over the world come there and you have to more attentive towards your dressing. You have to ride on camels and also sit in sand for dinner and watching shows. Shorts are not suitable in that cases and you can wear loose pants and leggings for being comfortable.
You should carry a shawl or cardigan also as in the night deserts become cold. I saw many ladies shivering with cold as they were not aware of the cold weather during night. For escaping this kind of mistake make sure you should carry woolen clothes in your luggage.

Final Verdict

Finally I have shared my experiences with you and probably you would come to know what you should wear in Dubai being stylish and respected as well. Its our moral duty to respect all the religion and culture and UAE is the mixture of different cultures so we must follow their instructions. Same things applied when we travel to any country. Girls it was really fun to share my experiences with you.
