If the claim department of Air France is not able to find your goods 21 days after your claim date, you may ask a compensation request based on the value or the weight of your luggage given, when you registered it. Anyway, the amount of the compensation cannot exceed 1295 €. You can also open a claim for a lost goods from your baggage. This must be notified in 7 days from the reception of your luggage. In this case, you must complain to the authorities in order to facilitate the Air France claim process.
  • In case of damaged goods, you can report the incident to the luggage service at Air France area or submit your online request. Your Air France claim requires your ticket or boarding document, the luggage receipt of the given good and a form that confirm that your good is not repairable. You obtain a tracking number. The Air France claim service must offer a compensation based on the given proofs. The amount for the compensation cannot exceed the 1220 €.

The provisions of CE n° 261/2004 is applicable only for Air France customers who depart and arrive from a European Airport.
