People I know that take Modafinil typically use between 100 and 200 mg at one time in the morning (about half a pill, possibly more). I usually take a quarter pill at noon time to not become drowsy around 5 or 6 PM (but sometimes that is too much and I stay awake until 3+ AM). I’ve noticed that taking more over a few days actually decreases tolerance for me instead of making higher doses necessary. It has almost zero addictive potential.
I know people that use it to stay awake over-night studying for their college classes. They typically use an extra half pill in evening (100 mg) and another half pill the next morning. I do not recommend this, as memory retention is threatened by under-sleeping.
