Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum praises God after Bible survives fire
Singer Hillary Scott of country band Lady Antebellum is thanking God after no one was harmed in a tour bus fire last week. The singer reported that all of the personal items inside the bus burned except for one: Scott’s Bible.
The singer was traveling to the American Country Music Awards in Dallas with her husband and tour manager when one of the bus tires caught fire.
All three passengers and the bus driver were all able to exit the bus safely, but Scott’s personal possessions were consumed by the blaze.

She wrote on Instagram responding to the incident, “Today, when our bus caught on fire we had quite a few personal belongings in the back (where I was asleep before evacuating the bus) one of them being my Bible.”

“I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing.”
She continued, “Yall, God’s Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours.”
“Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Everyone is safe and sound.”
Several self-proclaimed fire fighters posted that “you be surprised” stating that Bibles survive major fires regularly.
