Hillary Clinton seeks to increase Planned Parenthood funding, Bernie Sanders calls her ‘establishment’
Planned Parenthood has endorsed Hillary Clinton, the first time the organization has backed a candidate during the primary process and the former Secretary of State wasted no time to show her intent to “reward” (a word choice used by critics) the biggest abortion provider in America.
Clinton has now called for more federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
“I am not only against defunding Planned Parenthood, but I would like to see Planned Parenthood even get more funding,” the leading Democratic candidate proclaimed.
Critics claim that the move is reminiscent of Clinton’s State Department deals where donations from the chairman of Uranium One’s foundation to the Clinton Foundation were followed by then-Secretary of State Clinton approving the company’s Russian nuclear energy project. Or when donations to the Clinton Foundation from foreign governments were followed by increasing lobbying at Clinton’s State Department. The Clinton Foundation also “collected donations from companies she promoted as Secretary of State.”
Bernie Sanders hit back at Clinton’s move.
“Are you competing for those groups’ endorsements and not getting them?” MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow asked him. “Or are you not trying to get those groups’ endorsements?”

So, I have friends and supporters in the Human Rights Fund and Planned Parenthood. But you know what? Hillary Clinton has been around for a very, very long time. Some of these groups are, in fact, part of the establishment.
