Hillary Clinton Quotes

Hillary Clinton seriousCompares Vladimir Putin, Russia to Hitler and Nazi, Germany

“The claims by President Putin and other Russians that they had to go into Crimea and maybe further into eastern Ukraine because they had to protect the Russian minorities, that is reminiscent of claims that were made back in the 1930s when Germany under the Nazis kepttalking about how they had to protect German minorities in Poland and Czechoslovakia and elsewhere throughout Europe. – private fundraiser in March 2014

Arizona shooter is an extremist like a terrorist

We have extremists in my country. A wonderful, incredibly brave young woman Congress member, Congresswoman Gifford[s], was just shot by an extremist in our country. – discussing the Arizona shooter on Arabic ladies’ talk show “Kalam Nawaem” to be broadcast on the Saudi-owned MBC-1 satellite channel at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi on January 10, 2011.

The extremists and their voices, the crazy voices that sometimes get on the TV, that’s not who we are, that’s not who you are, and what we have to do is get through that and make it clear that that doesn’t represent either American or Arab ideas or opinions. – discussing the Arizona shooter on Arabic ladies’ talk show “Kalam Nawaem” to be broadcast on the Saudi-owned MBC-1 satellite channel at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi on January 10, 2011.

Immigration

I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base. – 2008: a completely false claim made regarding her trip to Bosnia President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy.  And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act.  – June 8, 2010 in an interview EcuadorTV regarding Arizona’s illegal immigration law

 Syria

“We have to keep Assad off balance by leaving options on the table,” Clinton said  in April, 2012. “We need to start moving very vigorously in the Security Council for a Chapter 7 sanctions resolution, including travel, financial sanctions, an arms embargo, and the pressure that that will give us on the regime to push for compliance with Kofi Annan’s six-point plan.”

“We are deeply concerned by reports that Internet service has been shut down across much of Syria, as have some mobile communication networks. We condemn any effort to suppress the Syrian people’s exercise of their rights to free expression, assembly, and association…Two weeks ago, the White House released the International Strategy for Cyberspace, which noted that “States should not arbitrarily deprive or disrupt individuals’ access to the Internet or other networked technologies.” We condemn such shutdowns in the strongest terms.” – June, 2011 in response to Syria shutting down the Internet to their citizens (The Internet was restored a few days later)

Arab Spring – Muslim influence in U.S.

Speaking at a town-hall style event in Tunisia (Feb, 2012), the North African nation that sparked the “Arab Spring” revolts, Clinton said the Republicans’ remarks made during campaign events “certainly don’t reflect the United States, don’t reflect our foreign policy, don’t reflect who we are as a people.”

Per Weasel Zippers: Clinton’s remarks came in response to a question from a member of her audience who said he was troubled by some of the comments, which he considered anti-Muslim, made by candidates running for president.

“If you go to the United States, you see mosques everywhere, you see Muslim-Americans everywhere. That’s the fact. So I would not pay attention to the rhetoric.”

“I think you have to shut out some of the rhetoric and just focus on what we’re doing and what we stand for and particularly what our president represents.”

Israel

Speaking to a closed forum in Washington – Dec, 2011: Clinton said gender segregation on some Israeli buses reminded her of Rosa Parks; that proposed legislation in Israel to control the funding of left-leaning groups worries her; and that the attitudes of a growing and increasingly powerful ultra-Orthodox community, particularly its attitudes toward women, are reminiscent of Iran.

Jewish paper edits Hillary out of White House situation room photo taken during Osama bin Laden raid: According to the website TheJewishweek.com, it’s because the paper is an Ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jewish publication, and therefore refuses to publish images of woman. “The Hasidic newspaper will not intentionally include any images of women in the paper because it could be considered sexually suggestive,” the site says.  Check out photos below.
