Has Sean Hannity turned over a new leaf? Says it’s time to consider creating a third conservative party

Has Sean Hannity had an epiphany?

At least on the surface, it appears the guy who wouldn’t say one negative word about Republicans during the eight years of George W. Bush, has discovered that the Republican Party is not quite as conservative as he originally espoused all those years.

The Daily Caller reports that on his radio program Monday, Mr Hannity really started expressing his frustrations about the political party he adored so much, particularly the “establishment wing”.

I always felt Sean Hannity was part of the “establishment, big government, “as long as there is an R behind their name” Republican.

However, Hannity said the following that gave me pause:

“The problem here is the more establishment wing of the Republican Party— they didn’t stick together with these guys,” Hannity said. “And instead the establishment has been out there trashing principled conservatives for keeping their principles and for keeping their commitment and their promises to their constituents.”

“What is different here is every time the establishment wins, they want the tea party conservatives to go along with them,” Hannity said. “Now when the tea party stands and fights for what they promised their voters, somehow they’re evil. Somehow what they did is wrong when — yet all I see is them standing on their principles.”

“This is about different strategies,” Hannity said. “I don’t think this country is going to survive with half-measures. Either you believe that we need radical positive-oriented solutions for this country and you’re willing to fight for them, or you’re not. Is it a third party we need? I’ve often argued no. I’m not so sure anymore. It may be time for a new conservative party in America. I’m sick of these guys.”

Huh? Is this real? Is Hannity following in the footsteps of Glenn Beck and been given a light shed on the darkness of the GOPs usual “we’re only slightly less big government than the Democrats” shenanigans?

What do you think of Sean Hannity’s new view of the Republican Party?

  1. CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

DURING THE Trayvon Martin controversy – AFTER, George Zimmerman WAS ACQUITTED – I LISTENED TO Sean Hannity’s radio talk-show ON A DAILY BASIS. YES – NEGROES DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE LAWS WHICH (USUALLY) WORK AGAINST THEM. AND, THOSE NEGRO ATTORNEYS WHO CLAIM TO WANT TO HELP THE black community SHOULD HAVE “TOWN-HALL STYLE” MEETINGS IN INNER CITIES TO DISCUSS WITH black citizens THINGS LIKE, “STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS” AND THE “RIGHT TO-, OR, NOT TO-RETREAT.” ON A DAILY BASIS, black callers CALLED Mr. Hannity’s show AND TRIED TO STATE THEIR BELIEF THAT Mr. Martin HAD A RIGHT TO WALK FROM THE STORE TO HIS FATHER’S FIANCE’S RESIDENCE, FREE OF MOLESTATION. BUT, THE black callers COULD NOT GET “A WORD IN EDGE-WISE” BECAUSE Mr. Hannity CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTED WITH [sic], “Mr. Zimmerman did not have to retreat.”

Robert Herriman QUOTES Mr. Hannity, “The problem here is the more establishment wing of the Republican party – they didn’t stick together with these guys … ” [MEANING, TRUE CONSERVATIVES].

MY POINT IS, THIS IS THE TYPE OF SITUATION WHICH CAUSED Mr. Hannity TO MISTREAT HIS black callers. LIKE IT, OR NOT, SKIN COLOR “TRUMPS” POLITICAL IDEOLOGY. CAUCASIAN CONSERVATIVES OFTEN SAY, “Democrats were the ones who established Ku Klux Klan and Republicans are the party of President Abraham Lincoln – the “Great Emancipator.” BUT, THE PROBLEM IS – IN OUR CONTEMPORARY TIME – LIBERAL CAUCASIANS SEPARATE THEMSELVES FROM blacks BY LIVING IN SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOODS ALONGSIDE THEIR CAUCASIAN-CONSERVATIVE BRETHREN [DUE TO FEAR OF black crime]. SO, MODERATE-CAUCASIAN REPUBLICANS ARE THE ONES WHO MUST EXTEND AN “OLIVE BRANCH” TO NEGROES AND CLEARLY EXPLAIN – WITH ACTION, NOT TALK – THAT THEY “ARE NOT” LIKE THE WHITE FOLKS WHO STARTED THE Klan.

IN OTHER WORDS, Mr. Hannity DOES NOT REALIZE NEGROES DO NOT KNOW WHO “the establishment wing” IS, AND, WHO “[those] guys” ARE. “White MEANS White ….. ALL DAY LONG!”

IF REPUBLICANS WANT TRACTION WITH NEGRO VOTERS, THESE TWO CATEGORIES OF White Folks NEED TO BE CLEARLY DEFINED AND EASILY RECOGNIZABLE [UPON SIGHT] BEFORE HISPANICS [THE NEW MAJORITY-MINORITY] BECOME SOPHISTICATED ENOUGH TO STATE THEIR DEMANDS, BEFORE CAUCASIANS. [Like it, or not, slavery/”Jim Crow” has created an emotional bond between Caucasians and Negroes that Hispanics can not break].
