Harry Reid says Nevada conflict with Cliven Bundy ‘not over’
Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) argued the battle between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the federal government is “not over.” Reid has been accused of being part of a land grab by Chinese backers, which is allegedly the “real reason” behind the confrontation.

The Bureau of Land Management released roughly 400 head of cattle it had seized from Bundy in Clark County, Nev. ending a possible dangerous standoff in a story which garnered national attention in a debate over state rights versus federal government authority.
“Well, it’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over,” Reid told KRNV-TV.
A former Reid advisor is a head at BLM and Reid’s son has some ties to Chinese solar investers, so the conspiracy theories have pieced together a contrived story about the land grab.
KCET summarizes the different theories and back story of the Bundy drama in case readers are late learning the details. “The fact that the project’s in the wrong place and time hasn’t kept the rumor-mongers from spinning tall tales about it…” their article notes.
Thousands of protesters had gathered to support Bundy and the peaceful resolution was a step in the right direction to resolve the issue, but as Reid stated “it’s not over.”
