The first 3 episode titles were then revealed, and confirmation that Vincenzo Natali (Splice) will be directing these three episodes. The new series starts off with Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) in Italy, the episode names have fittingly taken the form of Italian cuisine:

Neil Marshall (The Descent) will be directing the 8th episode of the season, which is certain to excite fans.

Star Mads Mikkelsen told the Huffington Post that playing Hannibal is ‘fun’ and that the show is getting away with things it maybe shouldn’t.

“We’re getting away with stuff on TV now that we never used to, while the film world’s not getting away with half this stuff,” he acknowledges. “This Hannibal needs people, so he has to be friendly, seductive, he’s a lot of fun.”

The added promise of horror the franchise will certainly excite the fans of the show.
