‘Hannibal’ season 2 trailers teases Mads Mikkelsen’s Lecter battling Crawford

NBC have now released the new Hannibal trailer previewing the second season.

EW notes that the trailer are glimpses of a fight between Hannibal and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and that the scene is actually the very first scene in the premiere and then most of the rest of the season flashes starting 12 weeks earlier.

Their brutal confrontation is what EW describes as “the most exciting scene so far in the show’s history”

Showrunner Bryan Fuller noted to critics at the TCA press tour that both Fishburne and Mikkelsen had fight training from their previous projects and he wanted to take full advantage of that.

Dancy said that Fuller had initially told him Will’s journey “would make him vomit,” but said for him as an actor, “The worst it got for him, the more I enjoyed it. This season it’s even worse, so I’ve been very happy.”

Hannibal season 2 begins February 28, 2014 on NBC.
