Hannah Stanford discusses London’s Royal Ballet School, The Nutcracker

EXCLUSIVE: The Patel Conservatory’s Next Generation of Ballet led by Peter Stark keep turning out amazing and talented artists.

Among them is Hannah Stanford, who was highlighted in Creative Loafing’s ’25 Under 25 to Watch List’ back in August and heads to London’s Royal Ballet School to attend full-time in 2014. Stanford will be reprising her role as the Snow Queen in this year’s production of The Nutcracker.

Stanford had spent two weeks in London at RBS, saying “I learned so much, just being there in two weeks and I’m really excited to go over there full time…” admitting “I love it!”

The personable teen praised her current teachers and leaders the Patel Conservatory, crediting Stark with the words of wisdom that keeps her going: ”   love of ballet away.”

Stanford will busy with productions well into 2014 saying “I love performing the Snow Queen role in The Nutcracker, which is a million dollar production, with beautiful sets and costumes…”

The Nutcracker stars Lia Cirio as the Sugar Plum and Jeffrey Cirio as the Sugar Plum Cavalier and begins on December 7, 2013.

    Thank you for the lovely story on Hannah! We are very proud of her. She received a YAGP scholarship in 2012 to attend RBS for two weeks, and once there she was invited to attend for 2014. It is a dream come true for her.
