‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ sequel set for 2017, Josh Brolin teases Infinity Gauntlet
Comic-Con fans got incredible news at Guardians of the Galaxy opens in theaters. The latest film in the Marvel Studios franchise now has a sequel and John Brolin teased fans at SDCC with a fake Infinity Gauntlet.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron panel ended with Brolin emerging with the iconic prop to fuel a frenzy from die-hard comic book fans. Feige announced the release date for the already-greenlit Guardians 2 as July 28, 2017 and the Marvel panel ended.
Brolin provides the voice for Thanos and the set up for an Infinity War in the Marvel Universe seems to be increasingly obvious.
Pratt who plays Star-Lord/Peter Quill and Director James Gunn appeared in this recorded presentation to confirm a sequel and its play date.
Gunn will return as the writer and director of the Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He confirmed this on his official Twitter account:
“Yes, I’m writing and directing the sequel to #GuardiansoftheGalaxy for theaters July 28 2017. But first go see the first one out next week!”
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, David Bautista, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Peter Serafinowicz, Glenn Close, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.
Guardians of the Galaxy arrives in theaters on August 1, 2014

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Thomas Kretschmann, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2015.

It was also confirmed that there are 5 Marvel films set for November 2017 through the summer 2019. No other details yet, but expect them over the next few months.
