‘Guardian of the Galaxy’ star Chris Pratt quotes Psalms in post regarding star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Christian actor Chris Pratt quoted a Bible verse in his post about his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Pratt recently posted a photo to Instagram of the star being prepared for its place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Pratt captioned the photo: “Psalm 126:3 ‘The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.’ Thank you to the many, many people who empowered me to follow my dreams.”

Pratt has often spoken of the role his Christian faith has had in his acting career. He also shared his remarkable story of coming to faith, which can be found here on ChristianHeadlines.com.

Pratt has also said that when he and his wife, fellow actress Anna Faris, were worried about their son’s premature birth, turning to prayer deepened his faith.

Pratt shared a photo of a dump tray his brother carved with Pratt’s favorite verse, Philippians 4:13.

Pratt also hiked up a mountain last Good Friday and erected a cross to honor Christ.

The star returns in a couple of weeks to the big screen with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and is already in production on a Jurassic World sequel.

Pratt’s story of salvation: Pratt grew up in the small town of Lake Stevens, Washington.

He was a country boy from a family that often struggled financially.

A real turning point for him, however, came when he was getting ready to go to a party while living in Hawaii and working as a waiter at a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant.

He was hoping to find fun at the party through alcohol, drugs, and girls, but he was in for a surprise. A man approached him outside a grocery store and told him “Jesus told me to talk to you…”

For some reason he can’t quite explain, Pratt “was charmed” by this man and listened to him.

“At that moment I was like, I think I have to go with this guy. He took me to church. Over the next few days I surprised my friends by declaring that I was going to change my life,” Pratt recalls.

That’s the moment Pratt credits with putting him on a new course. Soon after, he waited on someone at the restaurant who was a star in Hollywood. Through this connection, Pratt got a start in his acting career.

Pratt says he can see God’s hand on his life through all the experiences he had, preparing him for his acting career.

“That’s why I believe in God and the divine,” he said in an interview with Vanity Fair.
