Granville Ritchie arrives in court for Felecia Williams murder, a warning for parents
The man arrested and charged for the murder of 9-year-old Felecia Williams of Florida was ordered to remain in the Hillsborough County Jail in a little known case which should signal a red alert for parents nationwide.
Granville Ritchie, 35, is charged with first degree murder, capital sexual battery and aggravated child abuse for the death of Felecia Williams. The details of the case were indeed shocking.
“Evidence at the scene indicates that Felicia’s body had been concealed within a suitcase and dragged from the apartment,” said Chief Albano, stunning those in the courtroom during Ritchie’s first hearing.
Ritchie actually broke the suitcase, a wheel was found in his apartment, and drag marks were present on the carpet.
So, who is Ritchie and how is this a life lesson?
Nothing can heal the pain the family is enduring because Ritchie is the boyfriend of one of the mother’s friends. ABC summarized the events:
Detectives believe Ritchie and his girlfriend, Eboni Wiley, a family friend of William’s Mom, picked up the little girl the day of her murder. They believe the unspeakable took place in an hour while Wiley ran errands. They say when she came home Ritchie answered the door shirtless and sweating. Detectives say the two collaborated on a false story to tell police and someone cleaned the apartment.
