GOP allegations, IRS scandal, Clinton emails, Benghazi, Planned Parenthood – Obama goes on vacation
Can we list the number of issues in America? From unresolved questions surrounding Benghazi to Hillary Clinton’s emails, a rising debt, racial tensions and several accusations levied from GOP Presidential candidates, the Obamas are set to leaves Washington, D.C., for a 16-day vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, staying at a luxurious rental home in Chilmark.
In fact, officials are confirming the President will not be defending the recent deal with Iran personally.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, the President is again renting the multi-million dollar home owned by Joanne Hubschman as he did in 2014. The house has seven bedrooms, a pool, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a private workout room, the entire propriety estimated at about $12 million.
This is the Obama family’s sixth vacation to Martha’s Vineyard.
Obama will vacation as Americans debate his recently announced Iranian nuclear deal.
During the White House press briefing Thursday, Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters that Obama would not likely spend time during his vacation defending his deal, but that other members of his administration would probably be deployed to defend it publicly.
Politico notes vacations never seem to go well for the Obama family:
The Obama family vacation to Martha’s Vineyard was interrupted several times last year when the president had to respond to developments in Iraq, violence in Ferguson, and the ISIS beheading of James Foley.
Over the course of what was supposed to be a two-week getaway, the president ended up addressing TV cameras four times, phoned nine foreign leaders, issued three disaster declarations, and even returned to the White House for a three-day period to address the developing situations in Iraq and Ferguson, Missouri.
