Google CEO Sundar Pichai denies bias during House testimony as Alex Jones, Roger Stone look on
Google CEO Sundar Pichai defended the company’s data collection practices and insisted its algorithms in its search results were absent of political bias considerations, he told lawmakers on Tuesday in a House hearing.

The company has denied any political bias, and there’s no evidence of an anti-conservative tilt. Pichai said in his written testimony that “I lead this company without political bias and work to ensure that our products continue to operate that way. To do otherwise would go against our core principles and our business interests.”
Pichai faced the Republican-majority House Judiciary Committee before Democrats take control of the House in January. Lawmakers asked him about this alleged bias, as well as its reported plans to launch a censored search engine in China.
Alex Jones and former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone attended Pichai’s hearing together, and Congressional reporters documented several moments in which the Infowars conspiracy chief drew attention to himself with his crusade against Google.
Jones, a far-right conspiracy theorist who’s accused the nation’s leading tech companies of anti-conservative bias, railed against Google for “censorship” in the halls of Congress minutes before the meeting began.
