‘Godzilla vs Kong’ will film in Georgia, still set for 2020
While there’s no start date for filming on Godzilla vs. Kong, a new report suggests that filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, where a significant amount of 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters was filmed.
Omega Underground reports that Godzilla VS. Kong will reportedly film a lot of its principal photography in Atlanta.
It is rumored that characters from Godzilla: King of the Monsters may be reappearing in the crossover, although there’s not word on any returning characters from Godzilla or Kong: Skull Island.
While Vancouver, Canada seems to be a favorite filming location of director Adam Wingard, there does not seem to be any indication that he will be returning there to film anything.
Filming for Godzilla: King of the Monsters was completed this year, even though the movie won’t be released until March 22, 2019.
Godzilla VS. Kong is set for release on May 29, 2020.
