God’s power is in you: Now go and use it
Most people struggle with self-esteem issues. Many people reject God or won’t give Him a chance to be a redeemer or healer in their life due to the THINGS IN OUT PAST. But once you’ve accepted Jesus Christ, you have brought HIM inside of you.
So, if Christ lives in you, shouldn’t people feel HIS presence when they’re in your presence?
START YOUR DAY BY CONNECTING TO GOD
Find a short devotional or read a few passages in the Bible to read each morning. Start your morning with a quick prayer. This is a sample of mine:
Lord, thank you for another day. Thank you for loving me and putting air in my lungs to get me up and use me again today. I love you. Forgive me for all of my sins and help me be a better man today. Help me be a better reflection of you today. Hold my tongue, keep my minds and thoughts as I seek to be more pure. Let your word speak to me today and let have a chance to share your love and hope through Jesus Christ today – don’t let me miss it.
Amen.
That’s it.
“We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons”
From 2 Corinthians 10:4, the New Living Translation (NLT) states that “We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”
The power of God comes from his word. It gets inside of us and changes us. Read a few verses or a short chapter – JUST CONNECT.
When the spirit of God works and changes you, you take Jesus everywhere. You can become a Jesus changing agent at everything you do…everywhere you go.
Maybe this is hard to believe because your church experience has been negative or full of “hypocrites.”
Well, you are probably right.
Let me tell you something: that is because the church is full of FLAWED individuals.
CHURCH IS A HOSPITAL, NOT A COUNTRY CLUB FOR THE ELITE!
Matthew 28:18-19 quote Jesus telling his believers/followers “All power is given…” and “GO!”
Go change that church. Go change that workplace. Go change that classroom Go change that household. Go change that person in line ahead at the store. Go change the world!
You can because you take Jesus there.
