Radio talk show host, Glenn Beck was in attendance during the Nevada caucus supporting Mr Cruz and gave some accounts of the Trump supporters during his Wednesday morning program.
Beck began his show saying, “Brownshirts are being bred”.
He described supporters as rude, vile and nasty, later reiterating that Trump was “grooming brownshirts”.
Brownshirts were members of an early Nazi militia founded by Adolf Hitler in Munich in 1921, with brown uniforms resembling that of Mussolini’s Blackshirts. They aided Hitler’s rise to power. Their primary purposes were providing protection for Nazi rallies and assemblies, disrupting the meetings of opposing parties, among others.
To build his case, Beck played the audio where Mr Trump was riling up the crowd at an event pointing out MSNBC reporter, Katy Tur, calling her “Little Katy” concerning media reports.
Last night, Beck took to Facebook describing the situation in Nevada using a number of other adjectives describing Trump supporters, which Breitbart.com wrote about. There is no love lost between Beck and the website.
