Gillian Anderson says relationship with David Duchovny ‘not going to happen’
Actress Gillian Anderson stopped by HuffPost Live to talk about her new NBC show Crisis and squashed the rumors of a romance with her X-Files co-star David Duchovny that swirled after the two appeared on multiple magazine covers together last year. Despite denying the possibility of a relationship, she admitted that there was an “attraction” between the two former co-stars.
“Now that it’s over, I can tell you, no…It’s a nice idea, but it’s not going to happen,” Anderson begins.
“I think we know each other too well. I think we probably know each other better than we know our spouses at any time that we might have had spouses…There is an attraction. There might even be more than an attraction, but it’s not going to happen. And it’s that frisson that has made it interesting in the series and continues to make it interesting.”
On Crisis, Anderson says “Meg is used to be in control and she’s secretly, not so secretly, incensed that she is not in control and there’s nothing she can do…” while giving an overview of the show and her character.
