Police authorities believe that six people were involved with the kidnapping, which includes Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, who is also the live-in boyfriend of Ayvani’s mother, Maria Magdalena, CBS reports. The two were arrested together on drug trafficking charges in February 2012, but those charges were later dropped.
During the September 17 incident, Ayvani was with her mother and brother, while the live-in boyfriend Contreras-Rodriguez was absent from the scene.
The officials commented that Ayvani who was kept blindfolded during the whole incident was not able to identify anyone.
Authorities say that they have not captured the men who broke into the house that night, but have identified them from the sketches.
