Georgia double murder suicide: Jan Kirkland, Kim Butts, Caleb Butts all found dead
A teenage boy and two women are dead at a home in St. George, Georgia. The preliminary investigation indicates the incident was a double homicide-suicide and that all three people found dead are related.
The three were identified as Jan Elizabeth Kirkland, 64, Kimberly Gayle Butts, 39, and Caleb Logan Butts, 15. Caleb Butts is the son of Kimberly Butts. Jan Kirkland is Kimberly Butts’ mother and Caleb’s grandmother.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in an emailed statement that all three individuals had gunshot wounds and that an autopsy would be conducted Wednesday at the agency’s crime lab in Savannah.
GBI refused to elaborate on who the shooter was.
The police report says one woman was found dead in the kitchen. The other woman’s body was in a bedroom with the boy, and a handgun was lying on her shoulder.
Dispatcher Tina Myers at the Charlton County Sherriff’s Office said investigators were sent to the small community of St. George were called onto the scene around 1 o’clock Tuesday after the bodies were discovered by the father of one of the women found dead.
