Geoffrey Morell on the Benefits of PMA: Positive Mental Attitude

You may have heard the expression “you reap what you sow”. While this is simply a saying, it is one that has a lot of truth to it. If you are always negative, then it is likely that bad things will start to happen to you, almost justifying your negative attitude. But similarly, as Geoffrey Morell explains, having a positive attitude means positive things will start to come to you. This is why having a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) is so very important.

PMA is all about truly believing that you can change whatever negativity is in your life at the moment. It is about believing in your own abilities and the resources that are available to you. You cannot fake PMA either. It is about self-empowerment in the here and now, and will only work when it is genuine.

Regardless of your personal spiritual beliefs, you will know that we have free will. What this means is that we have the ability, or the gift even, to choose to be happy. This is the Law of Attraction and it can be applied to anybody’s life. Essentially, if you allow all the positive things in the world to rule your heart, your mind, and your actions, then positive things will start to come to you. And, naturally, the opposite is true as well. Happy people have happy thoughts and feelings. They also become agents for happiness, as it is a very contagious state of mind.

If you have a mind full of anxieties and worries, you will not be able to see clearly, nor will you be able to feel positive. Hence, you have to start to change that. Don’t be afraid to make plans and to dream big. Wake up every morning embracing the day ahead. Once you condition yourself to do that, you will instantly find that everything starts to look a little bit bright. This will also have an impact on your overall health, because you will start to feel good and take a greater interest in your physical health. You may even start exercising, which in turn releases more feel-good hormones – endorphins.

Geoffrey Morell believes it is vital that you learn to stay focused. You are the boss of your own life, which means that you have the control and the power to change it. Your mind is able to overcome any challenges that are thrown your way, tirelessly working towards not just achieving happiness, but maintaining it as well. By having constant, positive motivation, that is precisely what you will be able to achieve.

It is a fact of life that, sometimes, you just have a bad day. Everything seems to go against you. However, that is simply life. If you are positive, those issues don’t disappear, but you will not let them consume you and take over everything that you do. Rather, you will know that you can face those issues head on and overcome them.
